Higher reliability, lower maintenance. The Vermeer RT100 is a compact pedestrian trencher that includes a hydrostatic trencher drive motor and hydrostatic twin wheel motors. More maintenance-friendly than conventional mechanical trenchers, the RT100 features a host of productivity-enhancing features to increase efficiency at the job site.

Feature: Hydrostatic Trencher Drive
Benefit: The fully hydrostatic trencher drive eliminates all belts, pulleys and gears reducing maintenance time and costs.

Feature: Hydrostatic Ground Drive with twin wheel motors
Benefit: Eliminates most mechanical moving parts, reducing maintenance costs. The twin wheel motors eliminate the need for mechanical locking differentials while increasing its maneuverability with the hydraulic differential lock bypass. This makes moving to various setting angles faster and easier, as well as loading and unloading safer.

Feature: Improved Outboard Bearing Support (STANDARD)
Benefit: Standard on all units, lengthens the life of the head shaft, bearings, frame and auger.

Feature: End Idler
Benefit: Foam injected, greaseless bearings with extra hard inner races coupled with dirt guards, prevent dirt impregnation and seal damage from direct exposure to the soil.

Benefit: Helps maintain production by keeping the hydraulic oil at the proper viscosity and temperature.
