The fully self contained infrared unit is a workhorse and will provide many hours of repairs using two 30 pound cylinders of propane. The cylinder rack is removable and is provided with a 35’ hose for even more versatility. The KM2-18X offers the operator an option to use either a single 3’-6” x 3’-3”’ zone or dual 3’-6” x 6’-6” zones totaling 22.75 square feet of infrared heat. This unit works well for thermoplastic template applications. The lightweight portable KM2-18X is perfect for small pothole repairs, emergency repairs, bird bath repairs, joint repairs, thermal plastic templates and more. Utilizing the same patented heat source as the popular KM 4-40 and KM 4-48, the KM 2-18X and Lineal Recyclers are an option in size and dimension for asphalt recycling. Teamed with a KM hotbox/reclaimer, make asphalt repairs year round.
